Terratempo is an exciting new venture venture from Lee Daniels, previosuly of Cloudwaters barrel ageing project. Terra – meaning land, earth. Tempo – weather, time.

Young spontaneously fermented ale blended with 300g/L of Autumn Berries using the process of pellicular maceration. Naturally carbonated in bottle ; juicy, tart, funky and lightly tannic with a brettonymces presence : This beer will continue to develop layers of complexity ; beer in motion ; beer in evolution.

Based on a hop farm in Surrey this project, is a 100% rustic planet friendly process. No co2, no harsh brewing chemicals no electricity and the wort is made on a 10 barrel solar powered kit. This is the truest sense of sustainability.
Using hops grown exclusivly on the farm; Cascade, fuggles and a unique heritage hop : Surrey White Bine ; preconceptions of British hops go out of the window here, processed onsite they retain an incredible depth in flavour, aroma and oil and capture the impact and idiosyncracy of the most sought after hops from the USA and down under without the negative c02 impact of airmiles.

The beers are spontaneously fermented via coolship but that is where the link to spontaneous beers ends. The founder has been working in the modern ‘craft’ beer industry for almost a decade, so understands how to utilise the best elements of modern processes as well as ensuring that the worst elements can be rejected.
